Thank you for your interest in B&B De Zwarte Ruiter! In 2020 I, Frans, started the B&B in the cozy and always lively village of Callantsoog. The name ‘De Zwarte Ruiter’ refers to a beautiful bird, a wader (coastal bird) that is sporadically observed along the Dutch coast on its migration to the south. Very unique if you spot this!
The Bed & Breakfast is located near my house and is suitable for those seeking tranquility from 18 years old. You really have your own place and privacy. I like to have fun and you can always knock on my door with questions or problems. The B&B is a perfect base for active nature lovers. Take your bike with you because you can go in all directions, from polder to dunes, beach and forest. There are also beautiful hiking trails that you can start directly from the B&B. The bustling center of Callantsoog is also just a few minutes’ walk away. Read more about everything there is to do here!
